{One more down...}
Hallelujah! I was able to scale today! I finished up my friend who came in for me on the first day of the semester. It went pretty well, actually. She is pregnant and therefore very uncomfortable, so it made it a little challenging. She was most comfortable laying on her side, so there were times when my posture was bad, and I can definitely feel it. She hasn't had a cleaning in a few years, but takes good care of her teeth. The only challenge I found was that she had two lingual bars. Gah! I do not like those! I did want to pass of PEs, but I decided it would be best to get her out as soon as I could because of how uncomfortable she was. She was a great patient though and such a trooper! I scaled four quads this time, missed one spot and cut my scaling time by 15 minutes. It felt good to actually feel like I'm improving. I do still struggle with certain quads and feel very awkward when I try and instrument them, but I know those skills will come with time. Today the instructors switched pods and we had Instructor Caldwell. I just love her! She is so helpful and sweet!
